Sony Pictures is planning to reboot Paul Verhoeven’s 1997 movie adaptation of Starship Troopers. Sony’s Neil Moritz is producing, and Edward Miller and Zack Stentz (X-Men: First Class, Thor) will write the script.
There’s no information about the plot yet, but it will be interesting to see whether the reboot sticks more closely to the source material — Robert A. Heinlein’s novel — than the 1997 film did.

I so hope they go back to RAH's original storyline. While I loved the first movie (and hated the second) it would be groovy seeing an adaption of his original idea.
