Unprecedented Maya Mural Found, Contradicts 2012 "Doomsday" Myth

In the last known largely unexcavated Maya megacity, archaeologists have uncovered the only known mural adorning an ancient Maya house, a new study says—and it's not just any mural.

In addition to a still vibrant scene of a king and his retinue, the walls are rife with calculations that helped ancient scribes track vast amounts of time. Contrary to the idea the Maya predicted the end of the world in 2012, the markings suggest dates thousands of years in the future.

Female Protagonist to Lead Blade Runner Sequel

With the announcement that original Blade Runner co-writer Hampton Fancher is on board for the sequel, director Ridley Scott also revealed [...] that the new story will take place some years after the first film concluded."
Scott told the site that he "started my first meetings on the Blade Runner sequel last week. We have a very good take on it. And we'll definitely be featuring a female protagonist."

Watch the 30-Minute TRON: Uprising Prelude

Disney XD delves inside the computer world of The Grid and the people who live there with "TRON: Uprising," a visually striking new animated television series that follows the heroic journey of a new character, a young program named Beck, who becomes the unlikely leader of a revolution.

The series, produced in CG animation with a 2D aesthetic, is set in the era of "TRON" between the stories in the 1982 feature film and Walt Disney Studios' TRON: Legacy. Watch "TRON: Uprising, Beck's Beginning," a 30-minute uninterrupted prelude to the series below!

The series will launch on Thursday, June 7 on Disney XD.
