If a man did this sort of thing to a woman you'd be outraged. The fact that you are amused? Wow....
ReplyDeleteFirst of all, I never said I was amused by this. I made a light-hearted comment and this is my blog, so I'm allowed to do that. I have a friend who is a battered wife, so please don't presume to know how I feel about anything, especially this regarding this topic.
ReplyDeleteSecondly, men do "this sort of thing" to women all the time. There must have been something pretty serious going on in their relationship that prompted this woman to do this.
I am by no means condoning this behavior, but what I find sad is the fact that the media will now portray this guy as the "victim" and her the "monster", while I'm willing to bet that he did some pretty monsterous things to her first to put her in the frame of mind necessary to do such things to another human being.
I'm with you Bellz... there is no in my mind he earned it.
